Chelsea
Chelsea is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who provides thoughtful, individualized care to women, children, and adolescents. She brings a strong foundation in nursing and critical care—including experience as a flight nurse and mentor to other clinicians—which informs her steady, grounded approach when supporting patients through both acute and ongoing challenges.
Her graduate training, along with mentorship under Jordan Gough, focused on the impact of hormonal changes—from puberty through perimenopause—on mood, focus, and sleep. This lens allows her to recognize patterns that are often missed and to approach symptoms with greater nuance and precision.
Chelsea’s work is rooted in education as a pathway to empowerment. She is passionate about helping patients understand how their mind and body work so they can feel more confident and informed in their care. She integrates evidence-based medication management with lifestyle strategies, working collaboratively with patients to develop personalized plans aligned with their values and goals.
She approaches care with curiosity and thoughtful attention, particularly for patients whose experiences may have been overlooked or difficult to articulate. Chelsea prioritizes a collaborative relationship, creating a space where patients feel seen, supported, and equipped to move toward meaningful, sustainable change.

Inspired by Family,
Driven by Passion
Conscious Psychiatry was created from Jordan Gough’s long-held belief that women deserve mental health care that truly listens. Her career began in birth work as a doula and childbirth educator, then moved into the Surgical Trauma and Medical ICUs at Denver Health, where she cared for critically ill adults and children. Those years shaped her understanding of how deeply mental and physical health are intertwined—and it was also where she met her husband, a fellow nurse who shared her commitment to patient-centered care.
Before becoming a nurse, Jordan worked as a doula and childbirth educator, where she saw firsthand how often women’s symptoms were minimized or misattributed. These experiences inspired her to build a practice where careful diagnosis, hormonal understanding, and thoughtful medication management are the standard—not the exception.
Conscious Psychiatry now reflects that mission. The practice offers comprehensive psychiatric care, specialized support across the reproductive lifespan, and menopause-focused hormone therapy led by a Menopause Society-certified provider. Every element of the practice is grounded in the same purpose: to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that honors the full complexity of women’s mental and hormonal health.
